Laboratorium ini dilengkapi dengan peralatan canggih untuk pengujian mekanik, metalurgi, dan perlakuan panas, sehingga mendukung kegiatan akademik, penelitian, dan pengembangan material rekayasa.<\/p><h3>Peralatan Utama di Laboratorium Material:<\/h3><p>1. Alat Uji Tarik (Universal Testing Machine\/Tensile Tester)<br \/>&#8211; Digunakan untuk menguji kekuatan tarik material (tensile strength), elongasi, dan modulus elastisitas. <br \/>&#8211; Aplikasi: Analisis perilaku material under load hingga titik failure.<\/p><p>2. Alat Uji Bending (Bending Test Machine)<br \/>&#8211; Menguji ketahanan material terhadap pembengkokan (flexural strength) dan deformasi. <br \/>&#8211; Aplikasi: Evaluasi material untuk komponen struktural.<\/p><p>3. Alat Uji Kekerasan (Hardness Tester: Rockwell, Brinell, Vickers)<br \/>&#8211; Mengukur nilai kekerasan material dengan metode indentasi. <br \/>&#8211; Aplikasi: Kontrol kualitas material setelah perlakuan panas atau proses manufaktur.<\/p><p>4. Alat Uji Metalografi (Metallurgical Microscope &amp; Grinding-Polishing Machine)<br \/>&#8211; Menganalisis struktur mikro material (grain size, fase, inklusi) melalui preparasi sampel dan pengamatan mikroskopis. <br \/>&#8211; Aplikasi: Penelitian kegagalan material atau pengembangan alloy baru.<\/p><p>5. Alat Uji Impact (Impact Testing Machine: Charpy\/Izod)<br \/>&#8211; Menguji ketangguhan material terhadap beban kejut (impact energy). <br \/>&#8211; Aplikasi: Material untuk komponen otomotif atau konstruksi.<\/p><p>6. Alat Heat Treatment (Furnace, Quenching Tank, Tempering Oven)<br \/>&#8211; Melakukan proses pemanasan, pendinginan cepat (quenching), dan tempering untuk mengubah sifat mekanik material. <br \/>&#8211; Aplikasi: Pengerasan baja atau modifikasi sifat material.<\/p><p>7. Alat Polish (Polishing Machine)<br \/>&#8211; Menyiapkan sampel material untuk pengujian metalografi dengan permukaan halus dan bebas goresan.<\/p><h3>Kegiatan di Laboratorium:<\/h3><p>&#8211; Pengujian sifat mekanik material (tarik, tekan, bending, impact). <br \/>&#8211; Analisis struktur mikro untuk identifikasi cacat material. <br \/>&#8211; Eksperimen perlakuan panas (heat treatment) dan pengaruhnya terhadap kekerasan. <br \/>&#8211; Praktikum karakterisasi material untuk mahasiswa Teknik Mesin. <br \/>&#8211; Penelitian material komposit, logam paduan (alloy), atau material canggih.<\/p><h3>Fasilitas Pendukung:<\/h3><p>&#8211; Preparasi sampel (cutting, mounting, etching). <br \/>&#8211; Software analisis data (misalnya: ImageJ untuk metalografi, MATLAB untuk pengolahan data uji). <br \/>&#8211; Pengukur dimensi presisi (caliper, mikrometer).<\/p><h3>Manfaat Laboratorium:<\/h3><p>&#8211; Memahami hubungan antara struktur mikro dan sifat mekanik material. <br \/>&#8211; Mengembangkan material untuk aplikasi spesifik (ringan, tahan korosi, high-strength). <br \/>&#8211; Mendukung inovasi dalam bidang manufaktur, otomotif, dan energi.<\/p><p>Laboratorium Material menjadi tulang punggung untuk riset rekayasa material, quality control, dan penyelesaian masalah teknik terkait kegagalan
